Jamaican sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown insists she is feeling fresh as ever and that the thought of retirement is yet to really cross her mind.
The 33-year-old Campbell-Brown looked in good form on Friday as despite settling for third place at the Diamond League meet in Doha lowered her 100m season best in the process.
Campbell-Brown clocked 10.91 to finish behind Dafne Schippers of The Netherlands
(10.83) and American Tori Bowie who posted 10.80 to win the event.
Many had expected the 2015 World Championships to be the final hurrah for the decorated sprinter, but she is already looking forward to the Olympic Games in Rio this and does not have an expiration date in mind.
“Actually, I don’t feel a day older. I feel as young and as fresh as ever. So I will just train hard and stay focused as I feel good,” said Campbell-Brown.
“I do not put limits on myself, and I am not closing any doors because I do not know what God has in store for me. So I will just take it season by season, and right now I am focused on the 2016 season.”
