Masicka’s latest single to the top

Dancehall artiste Masicka says he is no reaping the fruits of his labour. His growth forms the basis of his latest  single To the Top.
The track is produced by Yellow Moon Records.
“It’s a song about being grateful for my achievements thus far. It’s about my growth and being able to be recognised for all the hard work that I have been putting in,” he said.
To the Top was released in April.

Fresh from performances in Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados, Masicka said he is preparing for gigs in Canada this summer.
“Barbados was really welcoming, and me shell down the place. Who Gas Them Up continues to be one of their favourite songs. It was just a blessing to hear the audience singing along to that song as well as others. I am expecting similar or even a better reception in Canada,” said the singjay.
Following his Canadadian gig, Masicka said he will return to the island to prepare for Dancehall Night of Reggae Sumfest in June. After that, he will embark on a gig in Antigua come August.

“I have a really tight itinerary and I am grateful for that. I still have a lot of local shows, so the work continues for the remainder of the year,” he said.
In addition to promoting the single To the Top, Masicka (real name Javaun Fearon) has high hopes for other singles including
Everything We Want and Time.
Recently, the mother of Masicka’s child, Clymaxx, had tongues wagging when she said he was not supportive of her music career. She is a finalist in the televised contest Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall.
Masicka said he was unaware she was a part of the competition until her utterances.
“I really don’t have much comment on that matter. I was not even aware that she was in the competition. I have never watched the show since the season started... Me and her are not on speaking terms, so I don’t know where all of this is coming from,” he said.
