Outspoken dancehall artiste, Mr Vegas has garnered the attention of Canadian-American rapper, Drake.
This comes after Mr Vegas called out Drake for not listing dancehall artistes on his latest album even though he sampled their work.
Vegas' rant received thousands of views, seemingly including that of
Drake's.
Drake took to Instagram on Sunday to thank fans who came out for his recent performance at Jewel Nightclub. He also took time to throw jabs at Vegas' hit single Heads High.
“Had to done off Vegas…Y fi di heads high,” he wrote.
And he did not stop there. He later went over to Popcaan's Instagram page to comment on and like a video that was also aimed at Mr Vegas.
"Wicked, wicked, Wicked...OVO Unruly same ting," he said.
But while many are defending the rapper, a number of persons have come out in defense of Vegas.
"@popcaanmusic this is where you should come together with Mr. Vegas and defend dancehall artistes music instead if trying to war the guy Drake was wrong for what he did and im sure you didnt make much money as Drake did when Controlla drop.....yuh sell out yourself for free now trying to incite a fued with Vegas when he didn't say nun wrong......In the words of Buju arrogance is much different from ignorance......stop being a clown for chicken or pizza Sell out," one social media user commented.
"Drake your di biggest SAMPLE.. sampling dancehall music using or slangs and not giving credit where it's due. Mr Vegas was right! U ain't original," another said.
