1 lb butter
1 lb Sugar
1 lb flour
1 pint prune wine
1/2 lb cherries
1 lb currant
1/2 lb mix peel
6-8 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsps mixed spice
2 tsps vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cream together butter and sugar well
2. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition
3. Add 1 tsp of flour after adding each egg to prevent curdling
4. Add the rest of the flour alternatively withthe wine, then add fruits including cherries.
5. Add spices, vanilla, baking powder and mix thoroughly
6. Pour in baking lined backing tin and back at 350 degrees for the first 45 minutes, then lower temperature and bake until done
