Near Hobby Airport, Three Killed When Small Plane Crashes Into Parked Car

Three people were killed when a small single-engine plane struck a parked vehicle in Houston on Thursday afternoon, city officials said.

The Cirrus SR-22 aircraft crashed while attempting to land at Hobby Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

All three victims were inside the plane, according to the Houston Fire

Department.

The remnants of the plane, registered to a company called Safe Aviation LLC, were scattered across a parking lot less than a mile northwest of the airport.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
