Spice new song 'Nasty' was collab with top US artistes

Female dancehall artiste Spice is again proving that she has what it takes to land big collaborations after a single with her and top hip hop artiste Kid Ink, as well as R&B superstar Jeremih, was released on Thursday.

The So Mi Like It hitmaker said that she scored the collab after Jeremih and Kid Ink showed interest in working with her. "I was in

New York for a performance and I got a call from Supa Dupes from Black Chiney Sounds saying that they (Kid Ink and Jeremih) were interested in doing a track with me," she said. "He (Supa Dupes) made the connection and I went to the studio in Manhattan, laid down my part of the track and they loved it and were ready to release it."

The song, titled Nasty, was only released on Thursday, but Spice already believes it will be one of the biggest hits for summer. "A lot of people have been calling me to say they love the song and to say congrats on such a huge collab," she said. "Nasty is gonna be a summer banger, so big-ups to Jeremih and nuff love to Kid Ink for wanting to fuse their genre with dancehall and for having me on this single."

The entertainer said it was truly an honour working with Kid Ink and Jeremih as she has always been a fan of their music. "I've always been a fan of Kid Ink, so when I got the call I was elated. It's really an honour to be a part of this project with these two big names in the hip hop world."

Although uncertain as to whether a music video for the single is in the works, Spice is hoping for the best. "I am not able to say at this time, but this is the new single that his (Kid Ink's) record company is pushing now, so you may never know if a video is coming," she said, adding that the track is now available on all digital platforms, including iTunes and SoundCloud.

This is not the first time Spice has scored a collaboration with major international artistes, but the entertainer says she believes this latest project will help to grow her fan base in the US market. "I take this as another great milestone and I'm happy that my fan base will continue to widen across the US," she said. In 2014, Spice worked on the remix for her hit single So Mi Like It with Busta Rhymes and in 2011, she worked with Missy Elliot on the single, Fun.
